Experience For the past two decades I’ve been fortunate to gain hands-on experience guiding both grant making and operating non-profit concerns. I want to share that experience, helping private donors and organizations improve their communities through effective use of their charitable resources. Executive Director, PacifiCorp Foundation, 1988 through 2002; had a central role in creating the foundation, then guided development of an endowment of $40 million and $2.75 million in annual giving; oversaw the Foundation’s re-direction in 2001 to focus on learning initiatives that empower individuals and communities. 20-year career developing and administering corporate community relations, philanthropy, communications, and marketing programs. Development and management of the corporate giving program for NERCO, Inc., formerly a PacifiCorp subsidiary. Two decades of service as a board member and volunteer advisor to more than a score of Oregon and Washington community non-profits. Active in Pacific Northwest grant making and philanthropy forums.
